In this day and age there is really no need to follow any religion unless you feel there is something missing form your life.
Follow your heart and know what is right and wrong.....you do not need a Bible, Koran, Tora or any other ancient script book to tell you how to be a good person.

Reasons - the great god will kill you if you don't. Of course, that depends on whether he/she/it exists.
The real truth (denied by all mohommedans) is that mohommed stole most of the statements in the koran from the Jesish Torah and Talmud. Where he needed something more violent, he pinched material from the arabic pagan holy books.
naturally, a mohommedan will tell you that the only language in which to read the koran is arabic - why? Because they know that most people won't bother to learn it and can therefore be persuaded that it says "nice things". This applies to the Torah (Old Testament) as well in part.
luckily, there are now very accurate translations available, but again, any mohommedan will try to claim that they're all wrong. Read both the koran and the torah and see the similarities - and note the added vilence and viciousness in some parts. Allah certainly had an evil and vicious mind - or more properly - mohommed.
Luckily the majority of the world has grown up, otherwise we'd still be fighting internicene battles over whose god is better.

There is no good reason to believe the Koran is of God. Muslims have a difficult time in answering the question of "What was the word of God before the Koran?" Some may say the bible but turn right around and say it was corrupted so it becomes a moot point for them to say they believe in the bible. Yet they will claim that Allah preserved the words of the Koran and can't explain why God was unable to preserve the bible? We are suppose to believe that God was inept in being able to preserve the bible but finally go his act together in preserving the Quran.
Aside from all of that, for anybody who had read both, it is obvious the Koran is a poor attempt of a rendition of the bible. Much on the same order as the Book of Mormon. Mohammad was a false prophet just as Joseph Smith was a false prophet and both claimed their revelations from an angel and both wrote another book that they claim has authority over the bible.

According to Islam, Christianity and Judaism are loving and respected religions, Why would you say such a question like this?
The Quran has many perfect reasons which cannot be found or not very specific in Jewish and Christian books and teachings.
Anyway, I didn't mean to offend you in anyway but it is the Muslims who would find this very true.
Go read the Quran and find out yourself.

one reason is this book:The Bible, Qur'an and Science .. written by Maurice Bucailli
plus many reasons i have
and we muslims do believe that the bible is God's word to Jesus but it has been changed by the hands of people in old churchs.
Edition:
Why did you delete your other question about keeping God's word?
God promised to keep the Qur'an with himself because ther will be no other books after the Qur'an as he said:
They say, "You, upon whom the Divine word ( 3 ) has been sent down, are surely insane. Why do you not bring angels before us, if what you say be true?" We do not send down angels in this way. When they come down, ( 4 ) they come down with truth, and then the people are not given respite. ( 5 ) As regards this Admonition, it is We Who have sent it down, and We Ourself will preserve it. ( 6 ) "Qur'an 15, 6_9"
While the other books including the bible were given to their people who believed in them and God assigned them to keep those books until the final prophet comes..but God said about those who corrupted their books:
Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, "This is from Allah," that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby. "Qur'an 2, 79"
if you want to read the Qur'an with good explanation this is a good site:http://www.translatedquran.com/main.asp

whoever read this book (Quran) in its original language, will know it's from his lord. no doubt about it.
and many arabic christians are afraid to read it. they know it's so strong, deep, and speak the truth which hits you in the heart.
