It means that he feels insecure in a relationship. He's constantly worried if he can live up to your standards, even if you tell him that he's fine. That is the classic example of the "it's me not you" situation. He has issues he needs to work through, and being with you is making things harder for him rather than easier. It really doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you.
Good luck. There is a great guy for you out there who will feel perfectly comfortable every moment he spends with you.

I think youre being unfair. Most men by the nature of being male arent anywhere near as "giving" as women. We´re not "maternal".
I often say similar things to my wife, and I mean them literally. I love her to bits and wouldnt leave her or cheat on her for anything, but in a fair and just world I dont deserve her, she deserves better than me.
I use similar phrases as a compliment to her and a beratement of my own inadequacies.

As far as I am concerned, if he doesnt have enough hoodspa to tell you the truth, then he really is not good enough for you and your are too good for him. Real relationships require truth and trust.

Either he is telling the truth and thinks he knows what is best for you (if this is the case, trust him, you obviously didn't see it) and if he is lying, then that is a weak excuse of a man, so you shouldn't be with him.

it is not necessary if someone telle you that mens that he want to dump you and when he say that he might have no confidence in himself also sometimes it mens that he is realy not good
