There is only one God, and it doesn't matter whether you call him Allah or Jesus or Catherine.

Please read the Gospel of John the first chapter. In this chapter we learn that Jesus is God and that Jesus created the world. Please take a few minutes to read it carefully and with an open mind and it will truely amaze you I promise. It starts out a little bit like Genesis. Notice in the first few verses that when ever "Word" is mentioned it is Capitalized. It says that the "Word" was God.... Later in Chapter one, it states that the "Word", (again capitalized) came and lived among us.....It is refering to Jesus Christ as being the "Word" and that when Jesus was born, if effect, the "Word" came and dwelt on earth with Man.. These verses are part of the foundation of Christianity where we see that Jesus is Diety...Jesus is part of the Trinity. Jesus was present with God at the Creation of the world. In fact in John Chapter one we find out that Jesus actually was the one of the trinity that did the "creating"... It states everything was made by the Word.. Since the "Word" refers to Jesus, then we know Jesus made everthing..
Some protestant groups are very "demonstrative" the way the worship Jesus. But some protestant groups are more layed back. Both Groups still love and worship the Lord but in different ways. Sometimes its hard for the more "layed" back groups to feel comfortable with the "demonstrative groups".....
I can relate to how you are feeling at work for I to work with someone like that.
Jesus deserves all our worship and devotion. To worship Jesus and Praise Jesus is the same as praising God because Jesus is God.... The only difference I have with the "demonstrative groups" is that I worship Jesus in a more quiet and reverenced Church Setting.
I hope some of this helps.... Please read the Gospel of John with an open mind and I think it will help you.
God Bless you.

Biblically speaking, Jesus said "I and the Father are one." Most Christians interpret that in terms of the Holy Trinity. God IS Jesus.
Gospel of John. 'In the beginning there was the Word. And the Word was with God. The Word was God.'
Most folks realize that Word IS Jesus.
So praising Jesus IS praising God.

first off. Jesus IS God in the flesh, one member of the Trinity. So When you praise God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit, you praise
"Elohim" ( Elohim appears in the Hebrew Bible as a common noun identifying Israel's God: "In the beginning God ['elohim] created [singular verb] the heaven and the earth" (Gen. 1:1). It was also frequently used interchangeably with Jehovah, the proper name for Israel's God: "And Jacob said, O God ['elohim] of my father Abraham,…the Lord [Jehovah] which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country")

You need to know a little more about CHRISTianity in order to understand this. Christians don't reject or discredit God, but we know that we speak to God through Jesus.

They are one. 3 in one. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Jesus is more discriptive. if they are calling out to "God" You don't really know which god they are speaking to. are they speaking to the only God or a fake god? They are one in the same.
