Football is Football NOT Soccer! As for American football, well that's just Rugby, which we Brit's also gave the World, with loads of protection and razzmatazz. In fact stick a tin-hat and shoulder pads on, play it in America and call it what you like. Take Baseball for instance, it's Rounders, we all played at school, the yanks get hold of the idea, stick another daft shaped tin-hat on and hey presto! they've got a crap National sport.

as a famous soccer player once said,' american football is a bestial, animalistic version of tag and is for people who failed at the real thing.' I support that and u.American Football is the most animalistic, least graceful and organized sport ever. The guys just want a reason to touch other guys and to lay on other guys. American Football also requires the least skill of any sport. F*****g DEER could play american football. And if they want to prove that theyre real men, why all the padding? why dont they just play rugby and see the true lack of skill that is american football?

Sharon H, what the chap is saying is that that stuff they play in America is complete, how you say, B******S and the stuff played in UK is what is actually called football. Do you understand that? Also I think he is right because Football, as it is understood around the world was invented in England. So why don't Americans call theirs something else like Rugby which is much closer to what it is.

Oh yes it's VERY boring. I remember it on C4 when I was little Downs and stop-starting. And whats the point of lining up just to run into each other?? If there was anything good about it the sport would have taken off around the world.
Assocciation Football, The Beautiful Game. Grace, Skill and moments of Brilliance. (Alonso springs to mind, sorry Toon fans)

No american football isnt boring...it will probably boring cause you dont understand it.....also English football is shite if it wasn't for all the foreign players who play in the premiership for the easy money it wouldn't be worth watching....Spanish football is the best...COME ON THE CELTIC.......

i thought it was for pansies--- all the padding etc.--- yeah boring.. more like rugby than football, for pansies with padding that are allowed to throw the ball forward-- we call that cheating(throwing the ball forward) bunch of boring softies . lol
i like the reference to rounders-- we only put tin hats on when were fighting not to play games---- very valid point
