to start a conversation you know is going to be difficult? I need to address a relationship issue. I dont want it to be such a downer but I know it cant really be avoided. If I could get a good opening I know the rest will flow.........any ideas?

"We have to talk" is a phrase that's been tried and tested. It has a slightly ominous tone that usually causes people to reach for a chair so they don't fall over when they hear the rest of the story.

it depends on the subject/situation on how you start the conversation. Whatever that is...be careful of the "blame game".
