i am interested in this question and i want to know why??

honestly, they don't really eat them.. they play with them until they are dead.

It is their nature. If you ever notice that when your cat is eating just its regular dry cat food it will shake its head every once in a while. That is because it is instinct to kill their prey. They are kinda pretending when they eat regular dry kitty food. It is so cute to watch.

i think it is because they are born hunters and mice are just the right size. my cat actually will eat one, but he will through up is just a matter of minutes. i try to get it from him if i can catch him before he eats it. it's really gross!!!

i never saw my cat eat a mouse he just plays with them to death out in the field!

My cats just eat their guts and leave the rest of the carcass for us as a present!
