NO WAY !! I am 29 my brother is 21 and my sister is 13 yes people that is 16 years apart from my sister and no she wasnt a boo boo my mom had her tubes put back together at a cost of like $18,000 and tried to get pregnate for two years just to have her. So if your kids are years apart dont worry about what other nosey people have to say they were probably just sad that they had their kids close together and didnt have the older sibling to help them take care of the baby!!!

they are six years apart and thats the end of that. Some people might think they are really far apart but thats a matter of opinion. My kids are 7 and 5 and I had them the right amount apart for me. However, the situation wasn't the same for you. I'm sure as a mother you know all about unsolicited advice and comments. Well this is one of those situations. Me personally, I don't understand why people have one child and wait 15 years to have another. One is almost grown and the parent has to start all over again. But, at least this time there is another older person in the house to help you with the child. So, once again, its to each his own. I think the age difference is just right for you!!!!

My two are 5 years apart, and I was afraid that it would be too far apart. Now they are 7 and 2, and they couldn't be better with one another. The oldest is able to be a big help to me in entertaining her little sister, and the little one really looks up to her big sissy. They are good friends, and I think that having them so far apart actually helped because they didn't do the typical fighting over attention that so often happens when children are close in age. There is no "perfect" time/spacing to have your children... just tell nosy people that you are satisfied with the makeup of your family.

My oldest sibling is 28; my youngest is 5. There is a 23-year difference there. Nope, your kids are not too far apart. Incidentally, there are 6 years between me and the next oldest sibling, and also 6 between my stepdaughter and stepson. I think 6 years is actually a very normal amount of time to wait.

My kids are 7 1/2 and 4 years. The oldest and youngest are 11 1/2 years apart. I know what you mean. I why should we explain our choices or the luck of the draw?!?!

I don't think so. I guess it depends on their ages right now. I have three boys 3 1/2 y/o, 5 y/o, and 11 y/o. There's 6 years between the oldest two. When they were younger is seemed like more years. Now, its not so bad. They are in Kindergarten and 5th grade. They walk to and from school together. Seems normal now. People did comment on the age difference when they were younger.

Not at all. my sister and i are 6 years apart and we are like best friends. We go to college together and have drinks round each others houses. We confide in each other with problems and because of our age difference, i have already been through what she's going through and can give her advice. Don't listen to anyone who says their too far apart because if you teach them to be good kids they will be good adults and the age gap won't even matter.

Actually, that's the perfect age difference for me. I don't want two in the stroller at once, unless they're twins. But I don't want an adolescent, then have to start over again 13 years later. But I'm not a mother yet and I don't know what my future holds. I may have my first, then go on to have 4 stair step children. Then again, I may have them over 10 years apart.

I don't think that's to far apart. My 2 kids are 6 yrs. apart and so are my sisters. But we both only wanted 2, so what does it matter how far apart they are ?
