Call the vet and ask them to explain what it is. They won't mind telling you over the phone what the condition is. Then you can research it on the web.

The vet probably doesn't know what it is. It could be a tiny injury or some old scar tissue. If it isn't causing the dog any trouble and the vet isn't too concerned don't worry. Keep watching it and if it changes - grows bigger, changes color, begins leaking, or if the dog develops more of them it is time for another trip to the vet.

Like the others said, the vet owes you an explanation of what the problem is, if there is any treatment for it and if it will affect the vision in the long run. Call her tomorrow and ask her to answer your questions. You should not have to pay extra to get the info she should have given you today.

My dog once suffered from an eye problem called conjuctivitis. In that the white part of her eye became red. We used to give her conjectivitis eye drops, the same ones used for humans. I suggest u consult different vets and get it checked. And you really cant tell whether the dog is having any vision problem unless he/she starts talking to you

I am surprised that the vet did not tell you.. You should watch it carefully and when the dog starts scratching his eye, take him to ANOTHER(DIFFERENT) vet who knows what he/she is doing
