i am not religious but me and my friends have been studying ramadhan for school (we're 15) and we thought it would be a good idea if we could try and do the fasting this year.
since we are doing it more for acheivement reasons rather than religion so we made a few exeptions like being able to drink water at the gym...
does anyone have any warnings or advice so we can achieve our goal

I guess it's wise to create that exception, since you are not doing it for religious purposes, but I encourage you to fast the entire 29 or 30 days.
Ramadan is a wonderful time of year. Fasting is very good for your body and mind (if you don't stuff yourself with food at night).
One warning is that you may experience some dizziness in the first day or two, until your body adjusts to your new routine. Try to avoid arguments, be modest, don't swear, refrain from sexual activities during the daytime, be kind to animals (don't kill any), and just try to be a nice person, even if others around you aren't.
Good luck, and I hope you do well!

well if u have never done it before u will find it pretty hard but keep busy during the day it helps alot, i fast and i dont find it too hard anymore however the fasts this yr will last about 15 hours so really think about it b4 u make a decision to fast or not.
We are used to it so we can handle it but if u have never done it before it could be very hard 4 u.
Also avoid going to the gym too much it will be bad 4 ur health if u are not eating and doing excercise at the same time, PE is different but try avoiding the gym it will just make it harder 4 u.
Good luck!

Hi Babes,
Congratulations on attempting to keep the fasts i'm just concerned that you have not done it before so going to the gym and not eating all day is not safe see most of us Muslims are used to eat so just take some sugary drinks and may be some chocolate just in case x

the whole idea of fasting is not to eat or drink so if you do it the right way you'll have a better sense of accomplishment. Its hard but its worth every minute of it. trust me. i was 8 years old when i started fasting... and nobody made me fast. so if an 8 year old can do it, you can do it too.
