Probably because you are really great at something else - maybe the arts, languages, music??? It seems people are never really good at everything. I'm sure there are some things you are good at. At these other things you will just have to work harder because it is foreign to the way your brain thinks.

Get a tutor to help you - or a class mate that is really good at it or knows how to explain it so you can understand. Good luck.

You are neither mentally retarded, nor bored. The reason you are not doing well is one or all of three things. They are called the three barriers to study.

1. Misunderstood words.

You must look up the definitions of the technical words that you do not understand. If you pass even one single word that you did not fully know the meaning of, from that point on, your ability to learn that subject is reduced.

2. Lack of Mass. That means that you are experiencing not enough physical objects to handle with the subject you are learning about. For instance, trying to learn how to drive a car without the car present. It can cause all sorts of physical reactions!

3. Too steep a gradient.

Meaning that whoever is teaching you is moving to the next level without your having understood the level you are on first. They are teaching the subject by moving from A to F to T instead of A, B, C. One gradient to the next.

These were found to be the three barriers to study by L. Ron Hubbard. I have only given you a brief description of the data from memory. You should get the exact data from the source. You can buy a booklet with all of the information that will help you solve these barriers. It can be purchased in any Church of Scientology book store. You could just call your local Church and ask for the Book store officer. The booklet costs about five bucks and you do not have to "join" the church to buy it.

I promise you that this knowledge is the key to studying and actually learning the subjects you are studying. It is priceless and if you know it and apply it, particularly before moving on to college, you will be absolutely brilliant beyond your classmates.

Good Luck!

I am adams girl? That is how you define your identity? Listen, all of those things you listed. Math, Chemistry and Robotics are subjects that require logical, analytical thinking. That requires self confidence and focus. Learning is a simple process. 1. Understand. 2. Remember. That is it. By your question I will guess that you are in highschool. I will tell you my method of study that works for me. Read the questions for the chapter first. Even if you don't undestand them just read them. Then, read the chapter twice. As you do, the questions you read previously will pop in your head. Then write down questions you have about the material and make your teacher do their job and answer them. Please help quash the notion that women are no good at math, chemistry and robotics.

a huge number of reasons maybe..in my experience insufficient teachers account for most students not learning...they cant amke it interesting..further more..your just not interested and that makes it hard to elarn. also so far youve mentioned all physical things. it is a proven fact that part of your brain does all physical things ..if your good at art reading writing or creative things thats why you suck at math chem and robotics..if you seem to suck at everything its probably teachers nto doing well explaining things even if you kinda understand or other people understand

Maybe you need to form better studying habits. Or a least make an attempt to pay attention and ask questions when you need to. You're probably just bored

NEITHER; you're too lazy to learn... On the other hand, you could have really bad teachers, but a good student can overcome a bad teacher with a little bit lower grade.

The former Harvard president would say it's because you're a girl.

You need to set aside time to study.
Pay attention in class. If possible, sit in the front row so you won't be distracted by the other students.

I think some people are good in some things and bad in others. You may not be good at math but you are certainly good in some other things.
