She says that I should probably go on the Pill because I have a boyfriend, even though I'm not sexually active. What should I do?

I have a family member that does the same thing and it is very awkward. I usually handle it with something along the lines of.... As politely as you can (because you get more flies with honey they say:) Thanks for your advice, I will have to take that into consideration and drop it at that. As much as you would like to tell them exactly what you think, I thin the best way is to blow it off. If it is often and always the same person. Maybe you could nicely say, "I really thank you for your advice, and value your opinion, and as much as I care about you, some of the things you say have a way of making me uncomfortable, I think that is it best if that decision is left for me to think about. Trust me, when I need advice on a matter, I will keep you in mind. "

That would maybe wake her up to see that she is overstepping her boundaries with unwanted advice.

There are just some people that do not know when enough is enough. Sometimes you have to be blunt, but try the more positive approach first and see what happens from then.

Good-luck!!!

Tell your Aunt politely thank you but you will make that decision without her help. If you are thinking about the pill talk to your doctor first.

Smile politely and say "I appreciate the advice but my boyfriend and I will decide whats best for us." Then walk away.Keep this up and she will soon get tired of giving you advice and give up. Do not talk about personal business in front of her. That way she won't be tempted to say anything and she won't be armed with information.

Just tell her that you aren't sexually active, and if she doesn't listens, the next time she mentions the Pill, go get one and shove it up her ***.

Tell her that you are not planning on having sex, and that you are not sexually active anyways, Just let her know that it makes you uncomfortable that she says those things.

I applaud you for not being sexually active. You should tell your Mom to tell your aunt to mind her own business or you will.

i think it's great that you aren't sexually active...save it for marriage but tell you aunt to shut her big mouth and to leave your personal life alone.....
but I recomend saying it differently to you aunt, maybe a little nicer.

It is okay to tell your aunt that you have a mother and that it is her place to talk to you about sex. And let her know that you are not having sex and you have no plans on it just now.

SOME PEOPLE R STRAIGHT FORWARD, THEY DON'T MEAN ANY HARM. THEY JUST LOOK OUT 4 PEOPLE LIKE U. SHE PROBABLY FEELS AS IF WHENEVER U DO DECIDE TO HAVE SEX YOU'LL B A LITTLE SAFER THAN IF U WERE NOT ON ANY BIRTH CONTROL.
