Hi Alli!
Different people have different views of time. In my case, although it is after midnight for me, I still see this as Friday night rather than Saturday morning. Perhaps your husband sees it this way, too. Not to mention that he doesn't necessarily have to be home every minute to celebrate your birthday.
Please don't let worrying about things like this ruin your enjoyment of the day.
And best wishes for a wonderful birthday.

Yes, he should and when he gets home you better ask him what the hell he was doing. But who knows he might just be caught up with something that is perfectly understandable, so wait and see before you criticize him of anything.

If he works the 11:00PM to 7:00AM shift, no. If not, he prolly should be home. Unless you sent him away.

Is he working? You're not standing at the door at 12:00:01am and tapping your foot, are you?
Happy birthday, though. :)
