shut down PC. install card. turn on PC. run install CD. hope it works

DO NOT install from the CD.

Instead go to the link below and download the LATEST drivers for your Wireless PC Card.

Once you download it, double click the downloaded file and let it install the drivers OR it may also simply create a folder with driver files.

Shut down your computer and plug your new PC Card.

That should do it. Windows will recognize your hardware, in case it doesn't, then choose "Browse manually for drivers" (or something similar to that) from the pop-up window.

Make sure to specify which folder the driver files were downloaded to when you double clicked on your setup file. Click next and windows will install those drivers for you.

if other answers dont work its because youroperating system is outdated ive had that problem with windows 98 too some drivers dont work..best buy a new computer (compaq laptops are cheap) if not just buy windows xp from staples or something and install that..sorry i couldnt help more

Win ninety 8 went EOL (end of existence) somewhat it gradual in the past. I surprisingly advise no longer putting it on the cyber web. As MS isn't helping it anymore there are no longer from now on protection patches the two (this would not mean there are no longer any protection themes although). temporarily.. That gadget would be a sitting duck on the cyber web.

assumeing that you bought the card new? You just put the CD that came with it in teh CD drive and load it up! Re-boot and you should be good to go.

just install the driver the product usually comes with a cd or a diskette..
