She rarely has solid bowel movement. She has gained only 4 lbs in 7 months. The doctors don't seem worried because she isn't dehydrated and acts healthy. Any suggetstions

All great suggestions, I have taken her off milk and apple juice (as I have just found out that is the #1 cause of diarrhea in children). So far, not much change, but maybe i haven't given it enought time...thanks for the feedback

I agree, you should take her to another doctor but her stomach might just be sensitive. Try giving her different foods and see what happens with each one. Have you ever thought that she might be lactose tolerant? That could be the cause of the diarrhea. Start by taking foods aways slowly and then adding them back in and see which one starts the diarrhea.

make alist of her food intake on a daily routine , try adding stuff like friuts ,veg ,pasta , yogurts ,chesse milk , creal , that are all heathly for her , make shapes with her foods to encourage her to eat them if she doesnt already do so , avoid crisps fizzy pop and sweet s , try changeing her list of food around to different times of the day , also keeping note s on her toilet pattern once you change and add things in her dayly intake , if this doesnt work seek help from a heath vistor , or return to your Gp with all details you have noted down so he /or she can see what has been going on and might be able to give you info , it should work really tho as i have 5 children and at least 3 of mine had same problem . and i did what i adviced you at it was sorted , well good luck hope all sorts its self out soon for you both tc xx

Does she drink juice? My neice has this problem when she drinks regular old apple juice, even watered down. Try giving her just water for a while and see if it makes a difference.

What are you feeding her? This does not sound good. Go to a different doctor.
