If you can get the eraser out good. If the bean is still in there and he isn't choking or in pain don't worry it will dissolve- or he will blow it out. At 8 he ought to know better than to put things up his nose. I would tell his parents they need to talk to him about it. Good Luck

One, what exactly is the object, it's size and how far up his nose is it? Can you feel it in his nostril? He's obviously breathing OK so tell him to breathe in and out of his mouth. Keep trying to get a hold of the parents and if you can feel the object with your finger from his face, I would try GENTLY working it down. If it seems really stuck, the parents may to take him to the Urgent Care. As long as he can breathe, you're OK... just make sure he doesn't snort it up there any farther!

Do not try to pull it out yourself. You could do more damage than good. You could push it up even further which would not be good. Go to the hospital & try to get ahold of the parents. If you know where he usually goes to the docter take him there instead. Maybe even call the advice nurses line from the clinic that he ususally goes to.

Good Luck!!!

I cant help but smile at the situation and I am sorry. Same thing happen to me when I was 10 but it was a marble. My older brother tapped my mouth shut and kicked me in the belly. The marble came out but he broke a rib. I would have suggested check with a neighbor

That happened to my brother when he was younger. He was putting watermelon seeds up his nose and blowing it out at us (I know, gross). Needless to say, he got a seed stuck up there and couldn't blow it out. My mom had to bring him to the ER and I believe they used tweezers to pull it out. He had a nosebleed after that, but he's totally fine now. It happened about over 20 years ago.

Good luck.

The parents should have left information about who the child's regular pediatrician is- if so, call them, do not try to remove on your own. If you do not have the pediatrician's information, call the emergency room- you may have to take him there. Keep trying to reach the parents or an emergency contact if they left one.

tweezers work the best, most people babysit, and don't keep an eye on them all the time, like when their playing, but when you know that they like to stick things up his nose, you'll half to keep a better watch on him...... its not nothing bad for you, or nothing you can't handle, but he did it, and you didn't have nothing to do with it, he's just trying to show you what he does, tell him no, tell the parents about it, and if they say you can, put him in the corner, cause that's the only way he's going to learn without getting hurt.....good luck......

Take him to emergency before it goes into his sinuses, they would have to operate to get it out of there. This is not a light matter, get him to emergency.
