depending upon the materials used, the custom made box should set you back around $200 for mdf.

for a more expensive option, the best i've seen are custom boxes made of fiberglass that are molded perfectly to the area in question. they lay down some plastic and pour the fiberglass over the plastic to make the mold. they will drop a subwoofer of your choice in it.

JL Audio makes something called a Stealthbox with a subwoofer included for a variety of vehicles. if they make one for your F150, it may set you back somewhere in the $400s.
