My son just turned 2 years old and I want to begin to potty train him.

i found the best way was to monitor the intake of fluids, and make sure i took my son into the bathroom about every 15 minutes or so. then at the begining i sat him on the seat facing the tank, that helps with not peeing thru the toilet seat and getting use to facing that way and they don't feel like they will fall in to the toilet then when he was taller just standing up and going like a big boy. PRAISE is the best helping tool kids are people too and like to know that they made you happy. Getting undies with things on them they like is great too, they don't want to mess up batman LOL. I don't agree with pull ups it's like a diaper and don't feel it helps

STEP ONE: PURCHASE THE POTTY CHAIR, ONE THAT DOUBLES FOR A STEP STOOL IT WILL COME IN HANDY LATER. DON'T FORGET THE PULL UPS. REMEMBER TO TELL HIM HIS A BIG BOY NOW AND IT IS TIME TO USE THE BIG BOYS BATHROOM. HE MUST BE OFF THE BOTTLE, THIS WAY YOU MONITOR HIS INTAKE OF DRINKS. EVERY 15 TO 30 MINUTES LET HIM SIT ON THE POTTY CHAIR. ALWAYS EXPLAIN WHAT THE CHAIR IS FOR. LET HIM GO TO THE BATHROOM WITH HIS FATHER OR OLDER BROTHER OR YOU. HE NEEDS THE ACTUAL PROCESS IN ACTION. I HAVE COME TO FIND OUT THAT WE HAVE TO TRAIN THE BLADDER ALONG WITH THE MIND TO GO TO THE POTTY. MY 3 YEAR OLD REALLY ENJOYED WEARING UNDERWEAR AROUND THE HOUSE BEFORE SHE WAS FULLY POTTY TRAINED. ALWAYS TAKE HIM TO THE BATHROOM FIRST THING IN THE MORNING.

use some cherrios in the toilet and have him aim or have him sit on a childs potty chair while you are on the toilet that might help
