Get involved with other things in your life. Keeping busy helps.
At night when you are alone, or trying to sleep, and thought s of the ex comes at you fill tilt, get up and read, watch t.v. exercize, just don't dwell on those thoughts-they are not productive and are,in fact, harmfil-i.e. causing stress, insomnia, headaches, not to mention extreme unhappiness. You can bet they are going on with their life.
Some I thought I really loved are ones I can not even remember their names or faces but at the time I thought I would die! Doesn't happen-so get out, get around and make friends and know that out there somewhere is just the right person for you!

It's hard, I know, and I'm sorry you are hurting like that. When my ex-husband left me I moved out of state for 6 months. Long enough to know I was over him and it didn't hurt so much anymore. Time really does heal all wounds.

Take care of yourself first and foremost. Get involved w/your friends...get them to keep you occupied. Cry if you need to. It's a grieving period just like anything else and their will be different stages. Go to movies/plays...but again, take care of yourself.
