"Of all the planets in our solar system other than Earth, Mars is the most likely to harbor liquid water, and perhaps life.
The atmosphere on Mars consists of 95% carbon dioxide, 3% nitrogen, 1.6% argon, and contains traces of oxygen and water.
Martian temperatures vary from lows of –140 °C (−220 °F) in polar winters to highs of 21 °C (70 °F) in summers.
Whether living organisms ever existed there is still an open question." [#1]

"Scientists have long speculated about the possibility of life on Mars owing to the planet's proximity and similarity to Earth. It remains an open question whether life exists on Mars now, or existed there in the past." [#2]

Our plants thrive on carbon dioxide.
That is why you shouldn't believe those global warming nuts that say high carbon dioxide levels are bad.
First they say, save the rainforest,
then they say carbon dioxide levels are going up.
but wait, carbon dioxide is good for the forest.
they are just making stuff up.
Anyway about mars, Sure something could probably live there,
we have found creatures living in the harshest envirnoments here on earth, like near super hot water spewing from the bottom of the ocean near a volcano etc.
