Everyone keeps refeering to Dog as a hero for capturing Andrew Luster but what everyone doesn`t seem to understand is that there was a personal gain for Dog .Andrew Luster was out on bail for $1 million Dog would have gotten a large percentage of that bail amount which would have totaled $250,000.But due to the fact he captured Luster illegally he was told he was not intitled to the money. He tried to fight that decision in a California court but the judge ruled that he was not given authority to go to Mexico and capture Andrew Luster therefore he was not intitled to any of the money.Who the judge did rule on to get a portion of that money was the women that Luster raped. Now I`m not saying that Dog was wrong for expecting his percentage for capturing Luster after all he is a bounty hunter and thats what they do.But for him to be considered a hero for this is wrong hero`s do not do things for a personal gain and even though he didn`t get the money that was his intentions.

Chapman is no hero, except to those mouth breathers who think professional wrestling is real. If he was the "professional" he claims to be, there would be no issue. I've taken numerous skips out of Mexico with no problem. Chapman is a pathetic joke.

I agree with you. He's not a hero. He's just making a living and bounty hunting is what he does. I do think though he did bring Luster in, whether it was legal or not, he did bring him in, he should get thr reward. It's not up to the United States to determine that. The U.S. wanted Luster and Dog got him. He certainly is no hero though.

dam as much as i like this dog the bounty hunter . he was in the wrong just like most of these bounty hunter are when they come into your home and arrest someone . but he did get this bad guy luster off the streets something the real cops couldn't do.so i want call him a hero but a dam good bounty hunter .he don't deserve to be ship back to this terrorist Mexican government to be tried as a criminal.when all he was doing is taking a citizen a criminal rapist of the USA off the streets i think that the USA government is wrong in doing this to this man and his family.

He caught a really bad guy. Great, good for him. Yes, it sucks that he isn't getting his money. I'm sure that some woman's rights groups will give him some awards. But in the few episodes of his show that I've watched I've seen things that he and his family have done that would have gotten them all thrown in jail (in my state) on bigger charges than the people he's trying to catch.

I don't think Bounty Hunters are Hero's
He makes it look cool though.

He is an Ex-con and if he wasn't on TV people wouldn't call him a hero or even care.

If he stopped a rape that would make him a hero in my eye's.

Hard to say. He did break the law in Mexico but did capture him. If he didn't capture Luster, he probably got away with rape scot-free and probably rape others. Probably for USA but not for Mexico.

He is a hero and doesn't deserve to be in prison.

Police stop criminal, but also expect a paycheck. Same as firefighters, and soldiers. It doesn't make them ineligible for any type of heroic title. I think that even if you expect a payout for a heroic deed, if you risked your life for it and the result brings some to justice or saves someone else, or makes the streets safer, then you qualify.
