A full diet plan is to big to post here. I suggest you have an honest look at what you eat just now and cut out all of the sweets, chocolate, crisps, fizzy drinks etc.
Replace the need for sweet things with fruit and eat loads of veg. Drink a lot of water and keep a bottle of water on you at all times. Sometimes you want to eat but you really just need a drink.
If you crave chocolate then a top tip is to eat a green apple and drink a low option hot chocolate - it really works.
As for exercise - only you know when you have had enough - running is free and needs little expensive equipment whereas gym membership can be expensive. Sometimes the local council run sports centres have trainers at a more realistic cost who could advise you on your needs - this would minimise injury etc
Good luck and all the best - it only takes a month to change the habits of a lifetime and you will feel great.

Well I love the Abs Diet book by David Zinczenko, the editor-in-chief of Men'sHealth (despite the fact that this is for men, doesn't mean you can't pick out the stuff for you).
What I find most effective is eating nuts and yogart once or twice a day for a week and I have notice my stomach gotten flatter significantly. Just stay off vegetable oil and things high in sugar.
By using this diet plan, you may notice you would gain a couple of pounds, but you will lose the fat. Btw fat hardly weighs anything on the scales, so you can't see if you are getting thinner or not :).
Good luck.

You need to stop eating chocolate, fried food and sugar in your coffee (you soon learn to enjoy it sugarless). Get one of those booklets which come out about four times a year that tell you what foods contain what amount of calories.
Calorie controlled diets are about the only thing that works. You have to stick at it, though.
The best of luck.

My plan at the moment is I can eat through the day as much fruit as I like, and in the evening I will just have my main meal making sure it’s not too big.
If I want to pick after my dinner then i eat cherry tomatoes.

Less food + more exercise.
If you burn off more calories than you consume you'll lose weight.
It doesn't matter what you do as long as you enjoy it and keep it up!
