Right Now , You cant take any gels or liquids in you carry-on bags on any airplane traveling from, to or within the US. All pills, toothpastes, cosmetics, and including any liquids you get past the security check point are not allowed on the plane, also get to the airport a little early because the security takes a little longer, u have to take off your shoes even if your wearing sandals so bring a pair of socks. I traveled a couple of weeks after the incident

You may have food (solid food: cracker, hamburger, chips, etc) but you may not have anything that is "gel like" for example: Lip gloss, hairspray, perfume, chapstick that is in cream form, and any other liquid type. You can have medication but the label MUST have your name on it as it appears on your airline ticket. So, if you are planning a trip and need to take medication, have your medication ready with your name that matches your airline ticket; otherwise you may see your medication being thrown away.
Mothers who are traveling with infants and small children may have 4oz. of baby formula and/or liquids that go with traveling with youngsters like pedialyte. Other than that, there is no other solution with taking liquids through security checkpoint and/or on the aircraft after you pass through security. There are trash receptacles in front of the gate podium where you can discard your McDonalds cups, water bottles, and whatever else you want to throw away before getting on the airplane.

Contact your airline, or go to the airline's website. They will have the most current information available for you, because things can change immediately.
