I don't know where you are or what level you are working at but...
I think one of the best references is "Projects in Excel for A -level" by Mott and Rendal.
Anything by Heathcote is always good too.
Both available from Amazon - you can get second hand ones quite cheap too.

If you really want to learn spreadsheets go buy yourself excel for idiots. Dont be put off by the title because it's the most simplified way youll ever have excel explained to you.
You can get the book from WH Smith or the Amazon online.

Try the series 'Idiots Guide To.....'. A lot of High Street Bookshops sell them. Try Waterstones or WHSmiths.
