I think the idea behind that is to help control odors. Ya just never know what's in a guys system when he hit's the urinal.

There are icecubes in urinals?? Damn I wish I was guy sometimes. Not only do you get to pee anywhere, not to mention while standing up, but ice cubes too. man, Ive bee deprived. hehe

No, you are not expected to cool your drink down a bit more with those. However, you could warm them up a bit by peeing on them.
