I would do a variety of things, so that if people don't like one thing, then they might buy something else. You could make things like ornaments, cookies, cakes, etc., or you could do something that people don't actually buy--like they pay to play a game or something. For instance, you could do a cakewalk--have you ever seen one of those? It's very cheap/easy to set up: make a few cakes, cookie bouquets, etc. Then, at the fair, set up a circle for people to walk on with points marked, like squares of paper. People pay, say, a quarter to do the cakewalk. It's a little like musical chairs, except without the chairs: you set a CD player up and play some fun christmas music. As long as the music is playing, the people keep walking. When you stop the music, they stop on one of the squares. Each of the squares has a number on it. You keep a jar with slips of paper with the numbers on them, and draw a number after the music stops. Whoever's standing on the square that matches the slip of paper gets a prize--a cake, etc. Kids like this one, and adults too.

You can always do the classic Santa Claus--having parents pay to have their kids' photos taken with someone in a Santa Claus suit--you'll just need a polaroid camera and your dad or someone to be santa claus, plus the suit, which you could probably get pretty cheaply if you shopped around a bit.

A big, always popular fair item: face painting. Get a christmas colors face paint kit and charge per child--kids always beg their parents for this one. Christmas pictures are simple to draw--a wreath, xmas tree, stocking, present. The supplies for this one won't cost much--$10 or so at the most, and it has a lot of potential, because you can charge more than you can for things like the cakewalk. Also, if you get your friend or a couple more friends to help, you can do more than one child at a time, which you can't do with the Santa Claus thing. So I'd do this if I were you. I think it'd also be fun, and teens would probably like their faces painted, too.

I would definitely try to do some really cute Christmas cookies, or depending on how close to Christmas and how artsy/craftsy you are, you could make some Christmas cards and matching gift tags or something cute like that. Moms love to have things like that handy because homemade cards are all the rage these days!

Best wishes for your craft sale!
