depends on what you are doing, how intense the workout is, and the shape you are already in. I did about 20-30 min/day on an elliptical machine, and burned about 400-500 calories. I had it on a pretty high level, i dont know how accurate those things are, but i did lose some chub.

That depends on your weight and intensity of exercise. If you weigh about 120 pounds and run at a 10 minute mile pace, you will burn about 250 calories per mile - 1500 calories an hour. If you weigh more, you burn more calories. If you run faster, you burn more calories.

lets see..20 minutes of running on the tread mill with speed 8.5 burns 250 calories for me. so you can do the math now.
