I don't know about lose more weight. It's possible if there is more fiber and the same or less calories and fat content.
I think probably most cereals would work on this diet as I believe it's just based on eating less calories and fat a couple meals a day for a week or so.
I've been told if you lessen your calories by 100 per day (which is less than a can of soda) you will lose 1 lb a week. However, I don't know how long this will last until your body is used to taking the 100 calories less a day.

Both those choices are good. Either though, will have little influence, if any, on weight loss. There are to many other elements that have to be involved. Very important though, is that you eat small portions and not skip any meals. It is best to eat several small portions than one or two large ones. also eight glasses of water daily is very essential.
