You should use moisturizing conditioner every day and deep moisturizing treatments. Try Pantene. Theres a Pantene for every type of hair and its not too expensive.

Go to your local store (i.e. Walmart, Target, whatever) look in the African American hair care section, (even if you don't have African Amer hair type, product is for everyone, they just seem to stock it there) Theres large plastic jars the say Cholesterol (? spelling) (Queen Helene makes one) treatment. Is the consistency of mayo, wash your hair, take a half of a handful and glob it ALL over your hair, leave in for about 30 minutes, than rinse thoroughly. Do this once a week. Will deep condition the hair.

hi, I straighten my hair also & mine's very thick, I would recommend a wax treatment...you can buy it in a tub and just put a genorious amount in about once a week, also you can use a good condititioner, but leave it in your hair for as long as possible (trust me it wont do it any damage, like what a straightner does, lol!..) also baby oil is goood for your hair also...but that's an old remedy, but I have to say it works too....
