With my first husband waited 3 years (unknown number of dates), guy in the middle 3 dates, current husband 1 (without the kids). Total partners 3. Age at first experience 16; second, 21; current spouse, 29. Does that answer all your questions? Regrets none.

How many dates? Depends on the person, and the level of attraction...also, depends on if I care if we develop a deeper relationship...if I hope for something with meaning, I won't have sex right away.
How many partners? I lost count years ago.
What age? I lost my virginity at 17, and am 41 now. I've had some 'dry spells' over the years, but basically have been sexually active on and off for most of those years.

Don't have sex until you meet your spouse. Why is that so hard to do nowadays?
It's not so much of a religious thing as it is a common sense thing. The person you have sex with the first time is the person that you attach yourself to. And if you're in *love* with that person, the sex is intensified and you want the person even more.
Thus, you want your spouse more.
