I wonder that too. Why doesn't He just set the record straight once and for all? Instead we are down here waging war on each other in His name. That is bullshit.

GOD is not great, HE IS INFINITE!
If somebody tries to understand God, it is like somebody that knows only addition and subtraction trying to understand a mathematical equation more (much, much more) than one trillion times more complex than Schröedinger´s quantum equation.
But, He loves human beings, so He communicates with them.
As somebody before of me wrote, He doesn´t have to use the limited languages of men. He speaks through Nature, through Love. Many people do understand what HE wants VERY WELL. It is not necessary any words.
Now, people who says they don´t understand Gods language, it is because:
- they are blind
- they are deaf
- they don´t know love
I would like to quote Mother Teresa:"Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat."
BUT... there is hope for them!
Try this, in order to understand what GOD wants: be good to somebody, anybody, today; tomorrow, be good to two persons, and so forth. By the end of the year, you will understand GOD. His language is the idiom of LOVE.

God (with Capital letters) can and does tell you what He wants in our language....have you ever heard of the Bible? And yes...it was written by humans but inspired by God...and it tells you everything God wants...but it is easier just to blame God for everything than exercise the little faith that He has given us...and YES, God is Great! Awesome! Amazing! Give Him a chance..you will not regret it...

Firstly, because the Bible is His reqirements, and everything you wantto know is in there.
Secondly, we were given free will so that we could actually use the brains we were given to make the world a better place.

I think it's because GOD is too advanced for us. Its the same with us not being able to comunicate with animals and vice-versa.
