A few years ago, I remember reading that some scientists had found a link between aluminum and Alzheimers Disease but that more research needed to be done. Has anyone heard of this or of further research? Or was the thoery debunked?

I don' think that this has panned out.

But, good cooks don't use aluminum cookware because aluminum gets into the food. Just boiling water dissolves aluminum. There are numerous antacid products that contain aluminum hydroxide.

Try looking at the Merck Manual online, it might discuss the issue.
