It depends on how young. Most topical flea products (Advantage, Revolution, Frontline) the kittens have to be about 7-8 weeks old.
If they are younger, bathe them with a kitten/baby shampoo, or dishwashing liquid. Suds them up really well then rinse really well. If you get soap in the eyes, rinse really well with water. Use a flea comb ( a comb with really tiny teeth that pulls the fleas from the hair) to get them off of the face. The suds will suffocate the fleas and they will die.
DO NOT USE AN OVER-THE-COUNTER FLEA TREATMENT OR FLEA SHAMPOO ON ANY CAT!

Depending on how young he/she is. You can get flea spray from Wal Mart in a red spray bottle and use it on him/her. All you do is spray the kitten down and rub it in good and watch the fleas fall off. Leave it on over night to make sure all the fleas come off and bathe him/her in the morning with either flea shampoo or even baby shampoo you use on human babies. (I've done this before and had great results) You may have to repeat if it's that bad.

A vet advised using alcohol and a cotton ball. You run the alcohol cotton ball over the fur then take a flea comb and comb thru the fur. the comb will pick up the stunned fleas dip the comb in alcohol and rinse the fleas off. It really worked well takes a lot of time but worth it

There's flea/ tick powder to be used on rabbits that I would assume wouldn't be harmful to kittens. I'm not sure, though. Probably the best thing to do would be to call a reputable vet and ask them for any advice. There might also be some home remedies that you could use also. Good luck with the babies!

Your vet can recommend a very gentle flea shampoo that would probably be better for them than a harsh medication. Call the vet...usually they'll give advice like this for free over the phone.

while you're protecting the kittens they could pass to the vet and he can inform you their age and what flea scientific care would be risk-free and effectual for them. you could comb fleas off. I warmth water interior the microwave to very heat, comb in the process the kitten and dunk any fleas i'm getting interior the nice and comfortable water. it incredibly is quite labor in intensity as you're able to shop at it. that's superb to verify age with the vet as even shampooing in break of day dishwater cleansing soap would desire to no longer be too sturdy by way of fact of achieveable chilling, etc. in the event that they are very youthful. i'm particular they choose worming too and the vet provides you you drugs for that. do no longer use any over the counter stuff, sprays, shampoos, drops, or worming meds till you be responsive to their age and what they are in a position to handle.

Flea bath. You can buy tablets to put in the bathtub or sink from a local veterinarian or maybe a pet shop.
Or a flea collar, though I haven't heard anything about their affectiveness.

Dont give them baths. Go to the pet store and ask for some flea drops and they'll know what to get you. It really works.
