In general, i'd give it a shot. I'd do my utmost to make sure she never has reason to be upset with me. If she still manages to find a reason to be jealous and does anything stupid as a result of it, then I'd apologize for it and then break up with her. The reason I'd give is that I've tried my absolute best to give her reason not to worry. If my best isn't good enough to keep her happy, then she should find someone else who will be able to please her. But I don't really tolerate jealous fits at all. If she can't make some effort to trust me while I'm making all the effort I can never to give her reason to suspect me, then she isn't treating me with the love I deserve.
But I have nothing against people who get jealous easily. I just have no patience for jealousy itself. Maybe that makes me a hypocrite. But maybe it just makes me a normal guy.
Cheers.

A very jealous woman, or man for that matter, is very insecure & afraid of losing their "significant other". So, they tend to be very controlling & manipulative. They may attempt to drive all other people, including friends & family, away to avoid sharing with anyone. Or they may discourage any outside activities for the same reason. All this just to keep you to themselves. But, eventually, it'll backfire on them. Also, a jealous partner, at least in my experience, is actually more likely to cheat.
How do I know this? I was married to a jealous, controlling woman, but was too blind to see it. Eventually, she was the one who crossed that line & had an affair. I've long since come to realize that I'm way better off without her. Many of my friends, men & women alike, have had similar experiences.
To answer your 2nd question, I'd put my foot down & insist on some time to myself or with my friends (within reason, of course). The reaction you get will speak volumes. That should tell you what you need to do.

I was married to a jealous woman. I let her talk me into dropping any female friend I had from before we were married. Big mistake. Thankfully she is now my ex.
