I feel great anxiety using the pc next to them, I really want to chat to my friends but feel really uncomrtable in front of them!!
My room is small but rather be in it than feeling this anxiety!!

Yeah I'm exactly the same, i mean there's nothin private about what I'm doing but I hate sitting in the middle of the dining room with everyone gawping at what I'm doing. Dont worry I dont think you're abnormal lol x

It's normal to want to have privacy when your on your pc. I don't know how old you are but if you can't be around your family when you're on the computer, then maybe your doing stuff that you shouldn't be doing. I think it's important to be involved in your kids lives and parents should monitor what you do one the computer. Have you talked about this to your dad? maybe you two can come to a compromise. as a parent I would wonder what you have to hide, if you could reassure me you have nothing to hide then I would have no problem in allowing PC into your room, my kids have their own PC's and in their own rooms, I walk in and out of rooms freely and they never try and hide what they are doing/ chatting etc, if they did I would be very suspicious, not in a nosy way, in a parent responsible way.

yea but ud just learn to tune them out unless you have something to hide . seriously theres so much bad on the net your better off with dad or bubba there beside you

it's nice to have privacy but it depends on how old you are, if you are under 16 your dad proberly wants to keep an eye on what you are doing or who you are talking to

It's totally normal...... i hate it when i am using my computer, and ppl start coming into my room.
just ask your parents if they can move the computer in your room so u can "concetrate" better.
