Have you ever seen a real ghost ?and if so can you describe it?

We are 'swimming' in them, only one dimension removed from their plasma universe.

20 % of adults in Britain have seen a ghost. I haven't but my friend seen a butler stood at the top of the stairs when he was a kid and had just moved into a big old house. I don't doubt him.

No body has ever seen a ghost. The reason is it is imaginary. Ghost are like Santa Claus and the tooth fairy. It is all made up by people.

yea. On my way over to Florence my sister and I flew from London early in the morning so we had to stay over in a B & B the night before. Being from Ireland we had not a clue where to stay so we just booked one over the internet, not knowing what it was like.
The day we arrived we thought there was a very strange atmosphere in the B&B. There was no one else staying there AT ALL! and the lady who let us in stayed at another house down the road from it.
Even though it was weird we had no choice but to stay so we unpacked our bags and went for an early night.
In the middle of the night I woke up suddenly and looked at the mirror on the cupboard at the end of my bed and I saw a woman, as clear as I would see a person, sitting on my sisters bed with her head in her hands. I couldnt believe my eyes and swung around to look at my sisters bed, but there was nothing there! Not believeing what I had saw I looked back at the mirror and she was still there, in the same position. At that point I completely froze with fear and just about could make out the words 'CATHERINE...CATHERINE...TURN...ON...THE...LIGHT!!!! My sister woke up and turned the light on and the ghost dissapeared.
Before I had even said anything my sister said, oh god I had the worst dream...I dreamt a girl was lying in this bed crying. And that her mother was horrible to her, and she killed herself.
I couldnt believe it. Needless to say we didnt sleep that night and spent our first day on holiday catching up! :(
The place was 'the chesnut luxury inn' in standsted. they really should do a 'most haunted' there. In fact I might just post a question of my own and see if anyone knows anything about it!
p.s.....I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight thinking about it :(

it was about the size of a football, it was in shape like a black cloud but was see-through.

it pulsated and grew and gave off a sense of great malevolence, enough to make me run extremely scared from the room i saw it appear in.

nothing like the traditional ghost you would imagine seeing, i think it was more an evil spirit growing like an egg.

they are both different things

a ghost is nothing more than energy replaying like a recording of an event ... it is repetitive and will replay actions over and over as it is not a conscious energy

a spirit .. is what is lives on after we pass to spirit , they are conscious and can communicate , they are loving and beautiful

I actually seen six, and felt the presents of so many more, since the age of four, it's in my family's blood.

Half of those may of been Angels, or relatives Spirits from Heaven. And three of the six was just in the past two years, I am sure the last two were from Heaven, Family Spirit and a Spirit Guide or Angel.

Ghost are grayish in color, they are usually stuck on earth due to negativity, so they are afraid to go to the light, that's why they are here, most don't realize that they are dead.
The one a saw in late October, was where I work in a Hospital, ten minutes after midnight, I came out of an exam room, and looked down the hall to my right as I was walking out of the room. I seen what appear to be a cloud with a head on it floating coming my way, the speed of a human run, we both stopped face to face as if we were kissing, I automatically jumped backward in to the room I just came out of. It turned it's head and looked at me, I felt what it was thinking, "oh know I am scaring the hell out of him" and it went into a what appeared as a bolt of lighting, and it was gone. It was grayish in color, see through broken up, I couldn't tell if it was a man or woman, I didn't even see eyes, but it's ghost shape 0 mouth was there.

Spirits are from Heaven, some Angels may appear as Spirits, I believe this one Spirit was my Spirit Guide, she came around for atleast seven months, the last day she came was the first time I spoke to her, and she spoke back. But what I said was go away leave me alone, because it kept waking me up, she spoke and didn't return, very beautiful voice, now I want her to come back. That last day I was asleep, sometimes when either a ghost comes near or Spirit, eventhough I am a sleep, my Spirit senses it in the room, and knows where it is and what it's doing, as if I can see, and I know what it's thinking, the last time she came back she came through the roof into my room and floated just over me, I put up my blanket to seperate us, I said go away leave me alone, and she started talking to me, she com me down, her voice was so comforting to hear, I must of fell to sleep fully, I woke up hours later remember it all except for what she said.
the only time I did see her was some months before that last time, I was a wakened to my blanket being slid off me slow and gentle, and I seen a completely white shadow at the foot of my bed, looked like a womans figure with a vail, I just left her there and went back to sleep, she came back a few nights later and moved things around, and took another blanket of me, roll it into a ball and left it on the floor to where she was standing that night, she came back to do this to let me know that I wasn't dreaming. The reason why she was taking the blanket off me the first time was because my four year old lost his that night, and was sleeping on it, so she try not to wake me, But when I did see her at the foot of my bed, I felt what she thought, "he can see me"
The last one I seen was about four months ago, my son was saying as time went by, ghost man walk through wall, he has been saying this for a short time, I was thinking it's a woman I her her voice, but he was right, there must be two of them. I sleep on the couch now, not in the room with all the action, I was awaken, and didn't know why, something caught my eye to the right of me, as I try to focus my eyes, I see the back side of what appears to be a man walking away from me, arms swinging, white and glowing he walk through the wall as my son said, But I notice he was very short to the floor as if he had no legs, then I thought, I am in a trailer, he's walking on ground level. I had to force myself awake about a month ago, someone was holding my hand, as I sleep on the couch, I woke up but didn't see anything. Those were some of my recent true stories.
Ghost and Spirits will not harn you, most all I met all my life were very nice. I should write a book.
