This may sound really unusual to many of you. I was brought up very sheltered and very isolated from other people, I have lived in a military family, I grew up accepting that I was never going to stay in one place long enough to meet anyone or experience dating. Well sadly that has all be true, after a time, I pretty much gave up trying to date anyone cause it never seemed I'd get to know anyone. Sinse I started college I've experienced a few dates but it has all happend sinse I turned twenty and I'm twenty one now. I just feel so inexperienced that I'm just not sure what to do.
I now have what I guess you would call a girlfriend but she is so against me talking to other women, and it just seems that I am now finally starting to actually meet people and just now starting to make friends.
What should I do? Do I just settle down with someone who would be really my first girlfriend? I really just suck at this and really need someone elses, nonjudgemental and unbiased suggestion.

I am going through the same situation with my boyfriend. I am the first serious girlfriend he has ever had. He gets insecure about how inexperienced he is. I was afraid for awhile since hes been dating me that he was just using me to get the experience he needs and leave. He has reassured me that he wants to only be with me. So your girlfriend might feel like that b/c your not as experienced you may be using her. The answer to your question soley depends on you. How do you feel about her? Do you want to be with her or do you want to date around? If you have a good connection with her and have feelings for her I wouldnt break it off. On the otherhand if you want to date other girls you should tell her. But if you guys continue to date she needs to understand you will have friends that are girls in your life. No matter how much she wants to not let you talk to other girls, she has to respect you. How would she feel if you told her not to talk to guys. If she gets jealous when you talk to other girls just say babe, i care about you; Im not interested in them and explain to her why. This should put her mind at ease. But its up to you, whether you want to stay with her or not. So good luck guy.

Do not saddle yourself with this girlfriend and her jealously...She will make you unhappy.

I know exactly what you are talking about being in a military family....I raised six children and packed them up and moved them constantly for 20 years.....I wish it had been different but it made them stronger.

You have your own life now, not your parents, for the first time in your life you are free to do whatever you want. There are so many things to do and see and experience.

Do not let one angry, insecure, immature jealous female/person ruin it for you.

If you don't want a single girlfriend and want to be free to date, break up with this girl and don't promise commitment. It's not wrong to just date. If she's that possesive and jealous already, she's not a good choice for commitment anyway.

Yeah maybe you should just get a girlfriend and stay with longtime friends, and dont spam 5 questions at a time.

If you have a girlfriend now, stick with it, unless you feel that she's not right for you.

Good luck!
