just like a girl. you want something, get it and then throw i away. the hrill of the chase is more fun than the victory. you must have been a womanizer in a previous life.
why not go out with them both???

is it to late for you to leave the first guy?
no.
is it to late for you to date his good friend?
yes.
if you dump the first guy just to go out with his friend, the two of you will be despised by a great many people and YOU will be seen as the bad guy. the two dudes will end up hating each other and eventually you'll find some other guy who interests you and you'll have to dump the friend and then you'll really ruin your reputation.
unless you use time to your benefit. meaning break up with the first guy and wait for 7 months, if the friend is still single and you still want him, then you can see what happens without fear of the judgment of others.
but just remember this People always want what they can't have until they get it, then once they get it they have to move on to the next un-attainable goal.

Well that bites. It seems that the chase is always better than the catch. You always want what you dont have. Ya know? When you have short hair you want long hair? You bought the black shoes, now you want the red shoes. ughhh.. it's such a pain. Well, time is ticking away, so act fast and move in on the friend before the other guy gets too attached to you. Comprende? GL

What was it about this guy that caught your attention in the first place. So what if you get close to his friend and you feel the same way you need to prioritize and know what is important rather than fluttering like a butterfly. You are indecesive about things and you are making hasty judgements be careful

Do you know if the friend likes you too? Otherwise there really isn't point in pursuing it.
I would just tell your current guy that you just don't feel the connection and that you want to date other people. Be nice so that he doesn't tell the friend how rude you are.
Maybe you could talk to the friend and tell him your relationship problems and ask his advice. Lean on his shoulder and maybe it will pull you two closer together.

It's easy do dump someone but you will never be able to hook up w/ his close friend w/o damaging their friendship. If it's early in the relationship you better get to work. either way things are always going to be akward. just some things to consider. good luck.

You should carefully evaluate your motives for wanting him. If you are simply inspired by the challenge of getting what you desire, consider that you are simply using these guys. You shouldn't 'get' a guy unless you are really interested in him. If they are your friends, you should try to treat them as friends, not as goals.

Decide seriously which one you like better, and if it's really worth leaving this guy. If so, do what you want, but realize that you'll have to break up with this one urself.
Good luck!
