I am 6 years older than my girlfriend, however I probably act 6 years younger than her....works just fine!

If he's 20 and your 12, it could be a problem but if you're both adults there shouldn't be a problem.
A man I knew in Arizona who was married to a woman almost twice his age and he was almost 40. I kept a bucket of cold water handy when they came by the house. Worse than two 16 year old kids with raging hormones.
If you two have something going, forget the 8 years and have a great life.

No, I'm not being smart-mouthed.
Thirty-five year old woman and a forty-three year old man; I don't people think would think twice.
A ten year old girl and an eighteen year old man--illegal.
A sixteen year old girl and a twenty-four year old guy? Odds are the girl is being manipulated. (And still illegal in most states.)
When I was thirty, I had a forty-three year old girlfriend. It didn't last, but age wasn't the question.
From another question you asked, I see that you're married, I presume to a guy eight years older. There's nothing wrong with that.

It's not the most common, but definitely not a rare case either. Don't worry, you're fine. As long are you get along w/ that certain someone, age doesn't really matter. Hope this helps :)
