how long do you bake it? On the package, it says two 8" rounds for 26-31. If I just use one 8x8, how long should I bake it....or is that a bad idea?

it`s not a bad idea i`ve tried it an it does work .time the cake from t time u put in the oven until about 45mins after that or until a scewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.it will take a longer time because the size of the pan compared to the mixture does not allow for quick expansion which makes the air circulate throughout the mixture much faster therefore reducing the cooking time. so go ahead and have fun baking just don`t fall asleep and forget about it.

If you are using a full sized cake mix 1 8x8 pan is probably too small. You need a larger pan.
Time to bake 35 to 40 minutes.

If its a see-thru glass, knock off 25 degrees from the degrees oven should be preheated. Because it burns faster. Then I would bake for uh umm 25-35 minutes. I would advise to start checking the cake after 25 minutes and inserting toothpick in middle to make sure it comes out clean. Other clue that its ready when the sides start to pull away from the sides of the pan. Its a eyeball thing.

well is it all going to fit ? what you might need to do is put it in the pan twice i do not think it will fit. but to answer your question it will be 25 -30 minutes and the best way to tell is when the sides pull away from the pan and you have a clean tooth pick when you poke it . also you can touch if it springs back it is done. do not it forget to lower the degrees 25' for the glass pan

Well it's gonna be thicker so it might take a bit longer than what the package says. I would try the toothpick test (stick it in the middle & see if it comes out clean) if so, then it's done & if not test it about every 5 minutes.
