It's impossible to lose fat just from one area. Even if you do crunches all day to work your belly you'll simmply end up with rock hard abs covered in fluff. The body works as a whole, thus fat loss happens all over, though the stomach is usually one of the first places it can really show. As for pills, usually all they do is give you extra energy or make you feel less hungry, they wont actually get rid of the fat unless you get a bit active. An easy way to get rid of the belly fat: walk. Start walking 15 minutes a day, enough to get your heart rate up. Do this for a few days, then jump it to 20 minutes. Keep raising the bar every few days or once a week till you are walking a good pace for around 30 to 45 minutes. Don't worry about how far you walk, just worry about your heart rate. It's also best to do this earlier in the day if you can, as this will keep your metabolism higher, therefor you'll be burning more fat, (as long as your diet doesn't contain to many bad fats, calories, or carbs.) Figure a pound of fat is equal to about 3500 calories, so as long as your caloric intake is lower than that (no lower than 1200 to stay within a healthy range) and you are walking, the belly fat should disappear before long. A warning though, don't have unrealistic expectations, this can take time, depending on what percentage body fat you have. Picture a marble, and the swirls in it, thats how fat is in muscle, marbled, and the body will burn this marble fat usually before it goes for the excess flab, so a light toning routine can help speed the process as well.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

I have been on 30,000 diets in my lifetime, and I'm sad to say that reasonably decreasing the calories, eating a balanced diet of protein, fruits, vegetables, and grains (perhaps 1200 - 1400 calories daily) and exercising even moderately but consistently will turn you into a burning machine!!! It's boring. It ain't fun. But here's what will be fun. When you wake up in the morning and your stomach is shrinking you will be happy with the diet!!! After all is said and done, Weight Watchers is the most sensible. If you are too busy or lazy to cook, Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem are like a rich person's Weight Watchers. There is no miracle pill or I would have gobbled it by now and been on the cover of Time Magazine with my results!!!

In my experience, two approaches work best: One, Atkin's or any low-carb diet will provide immediate results. The second and best choice is keeping your caloric intake under 1,500 calories a day and splitting your intake into six to eight small meals. I am a vegetarian thus Atkin's is not possible for me. The second plan works for me. Of course, you absolutely MUST combine a diet with aerobic exercise and strength training. There are numerous specific exercises that target the abdomen area.

Liposuction is NOT the only way.

I used a plan called Shapeworks to lose 95 lbs in 8 months. I went from a tight 44 waist to a loose 36" waist. I guess that is pretty good. I feel fantastic now! Here is where I found Shapeworks: www.loseweightnow.com/tfward

Tons of exercise. I do an hour of cardio three times a week for a month now and I'm starting to see some changes (slow weight loss is a good thing since your body can adapt to the changes easier). You might also want to try eating more veggies.

the best way is to stay away and i mean completely stay away from breads, pastas anything carbs. carbs go straight to the stomach. eat meat only 2 or 3 times a week, and load up on fruits and vegetables. in the morning drink grapefruit juice and drink water all throughout the day...
