Depends what you mean by the obvious ... if you mean the breasts then don't forget different guys are physically attracted to different things. Leg men, breast men, butt men etc.
Personally I love a great smile and/or a beautiful pair of eyes but then again I never have the bottle or the social skills to make a first approach anyway. When I was a mature student at university in 1991 I tried the smile and mouth hello approach or just a look and a smile but some of the reactions I got were nothing short of insulting. I guess an older guy smiling at a girl MIGHT give her the wrong impression although don't know why. That's the beauty of the computer of course. You can chat to someone and get to know them better without any pressure or negative reactions etc. Mind you, doesn't help a lot. But never mind. lol.

Are you asking what makes a girl approachable? If so, a welcoming smile, not being surrounded by tons of friends or guys who act as a barrier of sorts, a girl who doesn't look like the sluttiest in the place (depends on the guy i suppose and what is being sought).

sex appeal that is, it sets a girl apart from the rest, there are a lot of beautiful women, sexy, gifted on the physical side but i guess without sex appeal they don't get noticed....sex appeal makes us guys give a second look at a girl

If she is confident, and she looks like she has a wall up. Then it is a challenge. I like a girl with brains that plasys hard to get. Makes it real fun.

normally there is something there I find interesting.
if it's getting late and I don't want to be alone for the evening I find an ugly girl, to avoid the rush later.
