In some of my ?s I asked, some people said that they know some gays, atheists, n non-believers who are so NICE than most christians, n they probably go to Heaven. We're not here to say who will go to heaven or not, but we do know that there's no salvation if not through Jesus-Christ. Going to Heaven is not a Gambling game, there's no Luck on that one. You can't impress God by being nice, but you can impress him by accepting Jesus as ur lord n savior.
For atheists: Do u think because u don't believe in Hell, you can't go there. I know why u think like that, u were taught that if don't believe in something it won't happen to u. Some of you are trying hard not to believe in hell, n God so u can escape Hell. Wrong, no human beings can escape hell.

I don't think they still understand. When a hates hear us say the salvation come by grace through faith. They always say "Then you can do anything you want and still go to heaven". Then you tell them that when you accept Christ you die to the world and live to Him. That He creates in us a new spirit (though we still must live in this body of death) that is spiritual and hates sin. So we are put off by sin but our bodies still hunger for it. (That's why christians aren't good all the time.) The old saying we aren't perfect just forgiven... Jim

Every other religion (other than Christianity) believes this way, that you must be nice and do good things so you can save yourself. Christians know that we are not capable of saving ourselves. We need a savior, Jesus Christ, who lived a perfectly sinless life and then took the punishment for our sins. We only have to accept the gift of salvation. You can't earn it, and you'll never be good enough or nice enough to deserve it. If someone doesn't understand that it's not about being nice, then they are not familiar with true Christianity.

BTW, it's not about just believing in Jesus either (another common misconception.) As the Bible says, "even the demons believe, and shudder." It's about trusting and turning your life over to Him, complete surrender. And until you're ready to take that step you can't understand the peace that He brings into your heart.

You are right! I fully believe your statement. I believe everyone needs their individual relationship with Jesus Christ. I went a long time before I actually had mine. Until I could find a way to apply him to my daily life I was just existing. Many times I listened to a sermon and never even picked up the bible to read except at church. Yes I have been very guilty of all these things. One day I asked Jesus to give me something I could feel; I had to know in my heart that he existed. No I don't live as holy as most people believe or may think I should but I don't worry about my relationship with Jesus Christ because according to his word his blood was sufficient for me. Now I feel I have someone on my side.

Thank you for being selected to judge everyone but yourself. The beauty of your religion is that it has no real rewards until you die, since well-behaved christians have the same hardships as everyone else. You can't have your afterlife beliefs disproved since at death that is the end, and no one comes back and reports on what is on this purported other side. Of course, us athiests can't disprove your belief in an afterlife either fo the same reason.
I was not taught about not believing in Hell, I was taught to believe in Hell and decided it on my on that it does not exist. Your arrogance at your own self-worth is sickening; how dare you decide on my behalf how I was taught. You do not know, so keep your thoughts to yourself!

Enjoy your religion filled life, that is what you have chosen. You believe of course you will be going to heaven; based on my religious instruction in christianity prior to renouncing religion, I beileve you are sinning by your arrogance and by attacking others, and in your religion that would mean you will go to hell. I don't have to worry, since there is no hell or heaven!

Jesus was cool and an important guy to learn from but that is not the only way into heaven. Sorry, youir opinions has led me further from christianity than I was previously
You can escape hell, hell is a realm of thought, without body, and the ability to change the world you percieve via thought is non-victimization.
Victims cannot excape hell
This is a lie, sorry

How can you say, "no human beings can escape hell" and still believe the rest of your statement? I hope it was a typo? I believe in the Lord whole heartily. I live a life based on to the Word of the Lord. According to Matthew 7:21, I will enjoy life in the Lord's heavenly kingdom. I will escape hell.

Lets say that you are a Father and you watch your only son being beaten ridiculed and hideously murdered by his own free will so that people can be saved. Ya know what? I'd be very afraid for that person who discounted that sacrifice and said to the Father that they did not need Jesus because they are plenty nice enough. They are calling Jesus a liar. They in effect are saying crucify him again.

Great post, but it will take prayer and the Holy Spirit to touch their hearts. I know of some who think that being a good person will get them to heaven. All we can do is plant the seed and let the Holy Spirit water it. Good job!

Monarches in history told that they gained their power from God. So people who did not believe in God was a threat to their authority even if they were very decent. But immoral people who believed in God was OK ! because they weren't a threat to their authority. That's the reason why unbelief was never tolerated. Wake up please..

No only accepting Jesus as your savior can do it. So you can commit any atrocity you like to who ever you like and still get in.
