This is gonna be long, I'm warning you.
Deep question here.
Let's say we have to figure this environment out and try to advance humanity.
We need people focusing on science and that's what they need to do, for US.
Now, the people focusing on concepts of unknown, we need them for ideas to explore for new inventions.
Now what about the faith only people, in all honesty they are needed to create the dreams without question.
Now, those who are undecided, can be like the middlemen or referees.
It is like a bell curve in a sense.
From Right brain thinking to left brain thinking in it's extreme cases.

But, to state this as a form of truth in some way could unite us in our roles, like an organism(or machine). But all organisms have different mechanics and jobs.

Should the underlying dream of everyone be to enhance personal ability, knowledge and bring ideas into the now? with respect?

Your thoughts go along with a body has many parts, and each part has it's own function. Together they still make up only one body. A hand can not be an eye, a nose can not serve as an ear. Together they serve one common purpose, to function as a whole working together.

Yes we need all the different parts. All ideas, beliefs, views serve a purpose....how they express themselvess is more important than what they express ...because when all the parts are considered more wisdom and understanding follows.....

You said a lot with your thoughts....now if there were just a way to get others on here to actually put into actions what has been presented here...

Here's the answer: there is no "plan". We are all different, and individuals with individual thoughts and feelings. We are influenced by our environment, our teachings, and what we learn from doing. Most people are religious because their parents were. They were taught to believe a certain way. Not a whole lot of catholic teens suddenly realize they should believe as a muslim.
The whole problem, which has led for centuries to war, murder, hate, oppression, etc,. is that certain people crave power and believe they know what is best for other people--so they impress their own beliefs and thoughts on others whether they are wanted or not. If we had a society where people were free to grow up without the pressures of religion or its moral mandates, we'd see a much happier, more productive life in my opinion.

its not the original plan, but more of a backup plan, lets call it plan C.

First plan was the two in the garden, then they got wisdom, kicked out, and the whole child thing came into play. thats plan B. then at the tower of Bable, god realized that as one people they could do anything, and vowed that the world should never be of one unified people, and made them all speak different tounges. Now, if only launguage was different, but religion was the same, their reunifactaion would be easy, so they also gained other religions, to make them different.

Of course, another view is that when Cain left, he found a wife outside of his family, and regional gods were already in play before the tower, which could suggest that people transcended religion to build the tower, but even so, it warns us of what happens if any 1 religion actually does 'win'

I can see no connection between your initial question and the expansion that follows. Different backgrounds, educational levels, life experiences, intelligence levels, and so forth inevitably lead to different viewpoints, plans of any kind not withstanding. That is simply a fact of life.
As to rest, you describe an Intellectual Utopia with no basis in the real world. We need people to grow food, build houses, run the businesses, we need repair and maintenance personnel, a military, a legal system-both constabulary and Judicial, in short the 95-99% of people who don't figure into your possible truth. People are not cells in an organism with a fixed purpose, attempts to treat them that way don't just fail, they fail disastrously, as witness the collapse of the Soviet Union. Given the differences of viewpoint to which I originally referred, there is not, and never can be, one "underlying dream" to which everyone will subscribe.

wow wonderfully written and a short answer to a long questions .......
yes !
i feel we all are so wonderfully different and unique because we are here to learn ... from our own personal experiences and from each other
people often say ... surely we cant learn everything in one life time ...
but i feel we can
from each person we meet ... from what we see on tv ... from the newspapers ... from places like these boards
we all have a hand in each others learning
and we couldnt learn a thing if we werent so wonderfully unique !

As far as spiritualality goes, no! God would like us all to be on the same page, praising the same one God.There's power, real spiritual power in unity; and the devil knows that, which is why he puts his energy into making sure we dont unite for the cause of God.

Matthew 18 :20-For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Supposed? People believe in different religions because there are no gods up there telling them what is the real religion.
