Pay the fine and don't do it again. The point is not only to protect railroad property from tampering, etc., they are trying to keep people like you from getting seriously hurt or killed. If you were on foot, a citation is a much better alternative than being attacked by a police dog or a criminal in process of a worse crime (burglary, sabotage, vandalism. . .). If you drove around gates or disobeyed a signal, think of the fine as the price you pay for those few extra seconds you gained (and not getting killed).
Check out http://www.operationlifesaver.com/ for information on how many people are killed either as pedestrians or in vehicles. Police officers would also be happy to show you pictures of train-car/pedestrian incidents (they are not accidents, by the way).

All rail road right a ways are no trespassing wether posted or not this is national thing . After all do you realise what you would cost the railroad if they would have hit you and had to stop several trains .while they scooped up your remains

Railroad property is a dangerous place to be. Outside of company employees in the discharge of their duties or outside contractors needing access, no one has the right or authority to be there.
You got caught. Pay the fine and stay off railroad property.

The only way is to do what the citation is trying to prevent. Get hit by a freight moving at 60mph.

If you received a ticket that means you really did something bad, most times its just a verbal warning...probably not your first time I bet.... Pay the fine and learn from it...

it is a federal violation... so if you want to get around it, probably ain't gonna happen.
BTW, you are redundant with saying citation ticket, it should be one or the other.

Because you were driving down the train tracks and trying to outrun the train you really have no defense.
