Ok, im female im 15 years old, a mediem frame and weigh around 150-155 pounds, oh and im like 5'6 tall, im trying to get my weight back down to like 115-120 for the new year. I got the exercise part, but the dieting is kinda hard to do because i am in highschool and that is alot of junk and fried foods.

For instance this is my breakfast:

Slice of pizza, and chips from the store on the way to school. (i have to eat once i get near the school bcuz if i eat at home it takes like 1 1/2 hours to get to school and then my stomach starts growling)

Lunch:

The other bag of chips i bought at the store, maybe some chicken from lunch room..or nothing at all

then by dinner i will be to involved in homework to eat...its a horrible mix.

Can ya'll give me any tips on how to eat right in these conditions..

Nope, we dont have a salad bar at my school, i mean every-now-and-then they serve salad. I am doing like 60 mins of cardio, which is just 3 miles of walking 5 times a week.

For Breakfast you need to take portable things like yougart, sprinke some grapenuts or fruit chunks in it for texture. Small banana or slices or apples or an orange (take a baggie so you can put in the peelings.

Lunch @ school---do you guys have a salad bar...hit that hard with as little dressing as you can. No soda's period. You need juices, milk and lots of water. Especially at your age.

Dinner can be pizza but put a small salad with it. Lean meats like grilled chicken or fish. Lots and lots of veggies. Avoid eating lots of potatoes, corn and peas (they have lots of starch and sugar) limit them.

Remember do all things in moderation. Add some exercise and you will have it wipped.

GOOD LUCK !!!!! You can do it.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

For a female your height you should weigh between 120 lbs being the lowest and 160 being highest. Initially when I read your question I thought you sound like you are already at the perfect weight for your height. But that depends if you have filled out and if you have a muscular frame. If you are muscular you should keep the weight you have and not try to lose it. Muscle is much heavier and better for you because it burns more calories to have muscle.

It also sound like you are very busy. The only suggestion I can think of is to have some of those whole grain Lean Cuisines on hand for a healthy meal if you are in a rush.

well, losing 35 pounds by january is a reasonable enough goal, but will take lots of work! you may just have to come up with some healthier alternatives. the one thing you may be on track with is eating earlier in the day rather than later. they say if you eat your larger meals earlier, you have time to work it off, whereas if you eat heavily late in the day and then go to sleep, not so much. maybe try packing a breakfast and lunch before you leave for school? maybe a turkey sandwich, light on the mayo (mustard is kind of like a free thing), maybe some healthy, low fat crackers like, i dunno, wheat thins & stuff, maybe granolla bars, apple or bananna, etc. do some looking around in the store for healthy, easy-to-pack options. but i think if you are walking to school, if you are able to exercize, that should help a good bit. and i wouldn't go to bed on an empty stomach; at least have maybe some healthy cereal & skim milk or something.

Take your lunch to school or just stick to salad at lunch... I know they serve that there. Don't drink sugary drinks (maybe try to stick with water) Water also makes your tummy feel fuller. Eat 6X's a day. That would be breakfast- snack-lunch-snack-dinner-snack. You do this, but you eat less with your meals and for your snacks you can eat fruit, cheese, or you can grab those 100 calorie packs that have a good amount of grub in them. If you feel like your not getting the best amount of nutrition in your diet then drink V-8 or fruite juice. Try this till 2007... just remember to excercise too! :)

cut out any soda's and chips. No junk food. There are some delicious yogurts and fruit things, salads. If the school doesn't have healthy stuff on the menu address it with the principal. How do they expect kids to stay in shape or get in shape if they don't provide alternatives to crappy food.

Maybe you should think about buying a granola bar from the store instead of a bag of chips. Or you could always grab a piece of fruit. I would also get a bottle of water. If you want to loose weight you have to drink plenty of water.

Yep. No matter how often you work out, you will not lose any weight if you are eating pizza and fried stuff. There are lots of calorie counting websites out there to help you calculate how many calories you should burn and how many you should take in to reach your goal weight.

Good Luck!
