we (and by we, i mean they) make beef/chickn/fish flavors because those flavors are easy to copy--- we know what they taste like. not all of us (and by all of us, i mean me) dont eat mice.

Because it costs a lot less to use the byproducts of animals harvested for human consumption. In other words, you would need to raise a lot of disease-free mice. Other flavors could include, chipmunk, sparrow, squirrel, rabbit, and cricket.

The pet owner rationalizes that if it tastes good to them, then it must taste good for the cat. Same with dogs until you see a dog eat poop from the yard.

It wouldn't sell because most people wouldn't consider feeding the cat 'mouse-flavored' food.

They do. Fancy Feast. Translated from Hungarian (where Fancy Feast is made) "fancy" means "of mouse" and
"mice-esque". They figured "Mouse Feast" would be unappealing to the U.S. so they changed the name.

Who would they get to try the mouse to get the flavor? Yuck!

because someone would have to eat a mouse to figure out what it taste like. Someone told me it taste like sardines.. go figure huh..
j.k. I odn't know but thats a good idea,

Probably because they would have to slaughter a zillion of those little guys just to make a can's worth. It's easier to kill a steer and fill several cans.

Who would be dumb enough to try it to know what it taste like, first of all, then why would the cat even care?
