I personally don't think it's wrong for a 23 year old to date a 19 year old. that's only 4 years different. when i was 17 i dated a 21 year old for a couple of months. i think its finee.the age def should not be the biggest factor. it isn't about legality either. every situation if different. my situation wasn't legal..but nothing went wrong. its a dumb law =)
love always-- summer hampton*

Both of them are over the age of 18 and pretty still close in age. There is nothing illegal about that, first of all. When I was 18, i was pretty mature and met and started dating a 23 year old, and we got along just fine. The relationship lasted for 3 years. I was out of high school at age 17 and in college at the end of the year at 18. We were both mature and on the same wave length, so it all depends on the mental makeup of the two. Some younger people are pretty immature and older people can be that way, too.

Dude I dated a 40 year old when i was 19, i think it's ok for a 23 year old to date a 19 year old. Besides, age is irrelevant, what matters is how you feel about the person. And by that I don't mean love, I mean if the age gap doesn't make you feel weird.

Age is ONLY a number. Why in the world would you want to stop love and happiest?
Now yes there would be a problem if the 23 year old was with a 15 year old.
If this was a similar case. Then you would never to check your state laws.

My only hang up here is legal issues. In almost every case this is legal. Ethically there are no restrictions here as BOTH are adults. Love and friendships do not carry age limits.
In contrast if a minor were involved here there are problems waiting to come up. But I restate both are adults and the choice is theirs; not anyone else's. This also is not much of an age difference anyways.

Not at all. It's only a 4 year difference. My largest age differences were 4 years younger and 19 years older

It's only numbers as long as their not younger than 19. But when this person is 40 the other person will be 36. No big deal. Huh.
