Can someone give me some ideas for relieving the pain from canker sores? I've got about 20 of them in my mouth and throat, and they are really very painful.

ask doc for something called swish 'n swallow or lidocain liquid.

If you ain't already, get them checked out by a Doctor....... failing that perhaps try gargling something like Rum, Whisky or a glass of Vodka to clean them out.
Also, cold things are mean't to be good to ease pain.... so perhaps try some ice cream, or perhaps sucking ice cubes...... or perhaps if you can get it (you don't say where you are) some of that Orange juice concentrate drink you add water too (e.g. Robinsons http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_drink), mixed as normal with ice added..... which in theory (don't know if it'll really work)..... will have citric acid in it to kill the infection, and cool ice to soothe the pain.
Or perhaps a steady supply of ice cold ginger beer (one of the spicier ones, not Canada Dry).

You could try Ambesol...but I don't think you have canker sores. You might want to see a doctor about that.

go to Walgreens and ask if they have any canker sore medicine? they might or might not have it.

THERE IS A SPRAY THAT U CAN USE FOR SORE THROATS ITS CALLED CLORASEPTIC IT NUMBS THE AREA FOR A WHILE THEN U HAVE TO REAPPLY IT WORKS.....FLO
