This would be on a ford expedition.

a 10.5" wide tire is all you'll get a tire shop to mount. A 12.50 would fit but wouldn't give you a flat tread surface unless it had low pressure and tire shops won't do that for warranty and wear reasons.

You can pretty much go as wide as you want but remember the wider you go it will lift your profile a little because of the width of the rim. A good factory look is a 265 70 17. For a more aftermarket look a 305 60 17 is a good size.

on a 7.5 inch rim...that would be a 255 max. otherwise you have over hang...for who ever said 305's...what are you doing, mounting a 17x11 corvette wheel?

Call NTB or Mr. Tire and ask. They should know. It may make a difference on what car it's on.
