It will knacker your hair for a while, but, I did this when I used a black hair dye with hideous results. Use head and shoulders shampoo. Massage it in leave if for a couple of minutes and rinse. Keep repeating. The manufacturers of the hair dye actually suggested it and it does work. You will probably use about half the bottle and you'll have to do some major conditioning after you've finished as your hair will feel like straw, but it does work. After a few days of deep conditioning on your hair it will be fine. Good luck.

If it's semi permanent and you have not used it on dyed hair, shampoo repeatedly until it lightens. If you've used it on dyed hair, you'll need to get a pre lightener to strip the colour out and then dye it again (with a lighter colour). Stripping the colour can leave your hair very dry and frizzy, usually better to go to the hairdressers for this, but will be pricey if done by the hairdresser.

Washing helps, obviously. When I was younger I dyed semi-permanent "mango" and went swimming in clorinated water and it all came out...now I am not sure if that will happen and if it will be a desireable color...You can go to your hairdresser and they can tone it also which isn´t too expensive. But I would just wash it a few times and you´d be suprised that it will lift in about 1 week only. Best of luck!

get yourself a bottle of head and shoulders and wash it every day until you get the shade you like...I have done the same in the past and this is what my hairdresser advised!I also find leaving it on my hair for a few mins before rinsing helps. also, go for a lighter shade of brown cos they always come out a lot darker than they say on the box. if they say leave the dye on for 20 mins, take it off after 15! good luck, I'm sure it looks good anyway!

Semi Permanent colors will fade. For now, wash it a few times with dish soap, it is alkaline and will swell the hair to help those color molecules slip out faster. You can also do a cocktail shampoo. Mix up some bleach and add it to some shampoo. It will work very quick and try not to scrub your scalp with it.

Ah! upward push rinse rinse! make confident you get all the dye out~ then deep difficulty the hair with some thing like cream of nature or for even more advantageous acceptable conditioning use warmth grape seed oil/olive oil mixed along with your commonplace conditioner, positioned it on your hair then conceal your hair with a bath cap and leave it on for 1/2-hour to an hour. Sally's incorporates a product designed to get all the dye out of hair (it received't go back your hair to it truly is unique colour, even with the indisputable fact that it will make confident that each one in each of the product is out of you hair) attempt this if you're afraid you may no longer have rinsed all of it out. as far because the colour, do no longer practice more advantageous dye on your hair~ in case you merely dyed it, then it must be over processed already and including more advantageous dye (even to acceptable it) will merely added damage your hair. Wash and wash and wash. It should be cleared after 8-14 washes. But be sure to condition your hair well, otherwise you will strip it of all natural oils and it will be dry, brittle and prone to damage.

The best option would be to visit a hair salon to ask their advice, but I guess if you are like me, and colouring at home, then you probably don't have that sort of money to spare!

It will fade after a few washes, and you will get more used to it in between. Don't despair!

A really GOOD hairdresser will be able to strip out the colour, but some wont want the responsibility of the condition of your hair and will ask you to sign a disclaimer.
